Best Paper Awards
Three best paper awards were sponsored by professional bodies, ACCA, CPA Australia, and, CA ANZ.
ACCA best paper award
The ACCA Award was presented to Dr Angela Liew, Senior Lecturer of Accounting at The University of Auckland for her paper "The transformation to data analytics in financial auditing: What is happening in the big-four firms?".
Dr Anil Narayan, Associate Professor and the head of department of accounting department of AUT, on behave of ACCA presented the award.
CPA Australia best paper award
The CPA Australia Award was presented to Dr Ranjana Gupta, Senior Lecturer in Accounting department of the Auckland University of Technology for her paper "The imposition of regional fuel tax in New Zealand and its advancement".
Cheril Calling, the Business Development Manager at CPA Australia, presented the award.
CA ANZ best paper award
The CAANZ Award is presented to the paper "Culture and social media-based corporate disclosure by companies: An empirical multinational study", coauthored by Lin Ma, PhD student at the Auckland University of Technology and Dr Asheq Rahman, professor of accounting at the Auckland University of Technology.
Sabina Pereira, the Engagement Manager at CAANZ, present the award.
